| Making ceramic beaded necklaces for her mom as a pre-schooler, San Francisco jewelry artist Melissa Joy Manning found her creative voice early on. Her later studies of traditional Mexican silver-smithing and European design principles are apparent in the hammered textures and unconventional use of negative spaces in her jewelry.
