Black opals are defined by their dark body tone, which is the overall color of the stone when viewed without considering the play of color. The defining characteristic of opal is its "play of color," which refers to the rainbow-like spectral colors that shift and change as the stone is moved. The darker the body, the more vibrant and intense the play of color. 

I paired Jamie's AAA red flashes with a warm red sapphire.

Meticulously handmade in 22k rich yellow gold that I alloy in my New Orleans studio.  Loop is large enough to slip over or on a variety of clasps. Necklaces sold separately.

Personally designed and created by me with superior craftsmanship. I exclusively use the ancient techniques of classical goldsmithing. Slow made. One at a time.
