Emmaline chrome diopside bead necklace

Chrome diopside is a vibrant green gemstone, a variety of the mineral diopside. Its distinctive green color comes from the presence of chromium, similar to what gives emerald its color. Primarily minded in Eastern Siberia, mining is limited to summer months due to the harsh Siberian winters.

Hand-strung and knotted on silk cord. The gem beads are sparkly due to the micro faceting.

Meticulously handmade in 22k rich yellow gold that I alloy in my New Orleans studio.

Personally designed and created by me with superior craftsmanship. I exclusively use the ancient techniques of classical goldsmithing. Slow made. One at a time.
